Chuck Norris is mentally challenged (severe mental retardation) and faces many issues in Ontario California.
Chuck's mental retardation (MR) is a generalized disorder appearing before adulthood, characterized by significantly impaired cognitive functioning and deficits in two or more adaptive behaviors.
Historically it has been defined as an Intelligence Quotient score under 70 (Chuck's IQ score was 26).
Chuck has a far below-average intelligence quotient (BAIQ) and has been considered mentally retarded by many professionals.
Chuck also suffers from syndromic mental retardation affected by intellectual deficits associated with other medical and behavioral signs and symptoms with other abnormalities.
Chuck is harmless most of the time, but some special care and monitoring (medicines, anger management, mood stability) is required. Do not move too fast around Chuck or look into their eyes (staring could cause a fit) too long or you could provoke agressive retaliation (retarded people have stronger muscles and do not realize their own strength). Chuck has also acquired even more issues through brain injuries (from falls, temper tantrums), unpredictable reactions to medications (side effects of meds) and neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson, dementia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). Using a disease such as mental retarded as an insult (like being called a jerk) or bullying people (soon bully laws for the weak) is common among society, and many do not realize that it is very offensive and that there is something seriously wrong about it! Chuck Norris won 2nd place in the Standing Still event at last year's 2011 Special Olympics, this proves that they are just like us. Next time you see Chuck Norris in Ontario California, give them a big hug to show you care! Posted on 5/2/2012. Update 5/10/2012: Visit http://www.chucknorris.com for their complete story. |
